Josh Shapiro - Governor

Pennsylvania’s 48th Governor has built a reputation for bringing people together and getting things done. Voters often point to his focus on protecting fundamental freedoms, strengthening public safety, and expanding opportunity across the Commonwealth. Under his leadership, Pennsylvania has delivered historic investments in public education, hired hundreds of new law enforcement officers, created thousands of jobs, and put money back in people’s pockets.

Shapiro is known for showing up in moments of crisis and fighting for Pennsylvanians when it matters most. His career — from State Representative to Montgomery County Commissioner to Attorney General — reflects a lifelong commitment to public service shaped by his family’s example and his own deep roots in the community. Now running for reelection with Lieutenant Governor Austin Davis, Shapiro is campaigning on continuing the work of moving Pennsylvania forward with practical solutions and steady leadership grounded in faith, family, and service.

Recent statewide polling shows Shapiro maintaining strong and stable approval numbers. A February 2026 Quinnipiac poll found his overall approval at 56% among Pennsylvania voters, while a June 2026 Franklin & Marshall poll showed 48% rating his performance as “excellent” or “good.” Among Independents, support is notably steady: 49% approve of his job performance, and 69% describe his work as “good” or “fair.”
